New Work
Agony of Perceivedness
Inkjet photographic print mounted on 2mm aluminium
Series of 21, Editions of 3
Parts from combustion engines that are usually unseen, are cleaned, oiled and photographed. They are arranged on a bright green or grey background, to create abstract, composite images. This work allows us to peek behind the curtain of often hidden, mechanised technology.
The title is taken from the script of the only film that Samuel Beckett ever made titled Film. In Film, when the characters are ‘perceived’ by the camera, they suffer great agony and are destroyed.
